I'm Milan Holzapfel, co-founder of Mycelium Hub and Spore Society. I run an online membership community for people building lives on their own terms, and I build the knowledge management and agentic AI systems that increasingly run our operations behind the scenes.
If you're exploring a partnership, a pilot, or you just want to understand how I work, this page gives you the background in one place.

Over five years, together with my co-founder Marcela Campuzano, I built Mycelium Hub from a retreat centre in rural Sweden into a globally engaged community, hosting hundreds of people at gatherings in Sweden, Mexico and the UK, without a single round of outside funding.
Today, I’ve got a flag firmly planted in Paraguay, so international residency, structuring and banking are things I've navigated first hand.
Spore Society is where all of that in-person work became a membership. Five years of gatherings, workshops and hundreds of conversations kept surfacing the same needs, which we also mapped formally in community surveys: community, mentorship and an income that doesn't depend on one place. The membership takes what worked in the room, the journey, the circles, the accountability, and packages it into a systematised online format that can scale beyond any single venue. It launched as a paid membership in March 2026 with 23 founding members, still strongly engaged months in. Alongside it, we've recorded around 20 long-form conversations on the Spore Journeys podcast with people who made the same jump.
The work is about one thing: helping people step out of roles and systems that no longer fit, and design a life on their own terms, with community, global mobility and technology as essential elements.
Mycelium Hub exists to support conscious mid-career professionals through that transition, combining personal growth, nature's wisdom and the accountability of community. Spore Society is the vehicle: a membership with a clear journey and a weekly rhythm.
My big game over the next three to six years: a global, decentralised network where community, mobility and practical AI let thousands of people live on their own terms and build good things together.
That includes a thriving Spore Society, a network of partner-hosted hubs and retreats, and agentic infrastructure built on one principle: AI should strengthen individual expression and sovereignty and enhance the connections between people, not replace them.
Hermes is configured as a cross-system “agent stack” that follows documented procedures: weekly operational summaries, calendar and booking management, turning an invoice folder into a reconciled spreadsheet with due dates. It runs live on a documented SOP library, and I can demo it on a screen-share. I'm now opening it up for the first external deployments with a small number of hand-picked partners.
Spore Society comes with complete delivery infrastructure, from brand and membership funnel to a steady content rhythm. It also serves as a live focus group that tests the agentic services as they're built.
My core craft is translating how a business actually works into clear guidelines and systems that an agent, or a team, can execute reliably. This is the layer that agencies and off-the-shelf AI tools don't provide, and it's how Spore Society's operations run today.
Behind those three capabilities sits a deep operational knowledge base. Whether the task is running a retreat centre, delivering content online or driving the programme for the membership, our operational “second brain” has it documented, and the podcast library doubles as raw material for agent-assisted content pipelines.
